Zuri also dislikes Ainsley’s brother, Darius, who seems snobby and is always looking down on Bushwick after having lived in Manhattan. Zuri is unhappy about this development, believing that the class difference between the Benitez and Darcy families is too big for a romantic relationship to overcome. Zuri’s sister Janae immediately sparks a romantic connection with Ainsley and they start dating. Darcy and their sons, Ainsley and Darius.
